Why "Holhraum"
A hohlraum is the gold cylinder where fusion ignites.
hohlraum · noun · the pencil-eraser-sized gold cylinder at the heart of a fusion reactor. We spelled it wrong on purpose.
A hundred and ninety-two lasers fire into it at once — pure chaos — and it converts that storm into a single point of ignition: clean, abundant energy. That's the whole idea behind the studio. Hand us the noise — the vague brief, the scattered data, the process held together by spreadsheets and habit — and we hand back the thing that quietly works.
01 / The noise
Messy input
A vague idea, scattered data, a process running on spreadsheets and memory.
02 / The hohlraum
We focus it
The right tool, built well — no heavier or more complicated than it needs to be.
03 / The energy
Output that matters
Something live that does real work — and keeps doing it after we leave.
What we build
Two things, done with care.
Websites that earn their keep
Fast, hand-built sites that load instantly, rank well, and read like a person wrote them — because one did. No template tax, no monthly rent on your own homepage. You get the code.
AI tools that do the boring part
Custom tools and automations that absorb the repetitive work — lookups, drafting, triage, scheduling — wired into what you already use, not another dashboard to babysit.
Proof, not promises
Take the Leander trash calendar.
Type your address; it reads the county's public parcel records, maps your subdivision to the city's collection schedule, and hands back a calendar file — garbage day, recycling week, holiday shifts and all. No app, no account, no data kept. It's free, because it earns its keep another way: it's how some of the people reading this found us.
How we work
- ASmall and sharp beats big and vague.
- BOwn your homepage — no platform rent, no lock-in. You get the code.
- CFast is a feature. If it's slow, it doesn't count.
- DBuilt to keep working after we're gone.
